Three organizations make up the Shelter Sunday Coalition. Each organization provides essential services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in our community.
Hampshire Support Alliance (formerly Friends of Hampshire County Homeless Individuals) is dedicated to helping people experiencing homelessness live with dignity by providing services, creating housing, and advocating for solutions in Northampton and surrounding towns.
In addition to developing long-term housing, the organization provides emergency hotel stays to individuals, families, and children in times of crisis. Through its auxillary programs, HSA distributes essential items including bicycles, clothing, toiletries, and prescription assistance to those in need. The organization also plays a key role in supporting local food security efforts by partnering with community organizations to ensure access to nourishment and resources.
Manna Community Kitchen serves greater Northampton by providing over 1,800 homestyle meals each week—and that’s not all. The organization also operates a year-round drop-in Community Center where guests have access to essential services including showers, hygiene products, laundry, harm reduction, basic medical care, and additional support. Guests are invited to eat in the dining room, pick up a prepared meal, or sign up for home delivery. Manna is committed to honoring the dignity of every visitor and meeting people where they are each day.
These organizations are committed to helping those experiencing homelessness in our community. With your help, we will continue to meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors.
Thank you for your support!
